Overcoming doubt and unbelief.
One of the most challenging things we face in our spiritual walk is maintaining our belief in what God promised. Notice, I said, "maintain belief." When you first receive the promise of God, joy floods your heart.
You are ready to receive, but as time creeps by, you can become discouraged. Perhaps while you are waiting on a promise, someone else seems to receive blessing after blessing. This can create frustration and doubt. However, the Lord knew our faith would need a boost every now and then.
I am reminded of the scriptures where the man asks Jesus to help his unbelief (see Mark 9:24). We need to understand that God wants us to be honest about our emotions and belief. Why? So He can become the solutions.
Jesus won't resolve what you refuse to acknowledge. See, when your faith begins to ween, it's an indicator that you need to refuel on the word of God. I have seven scriptures that you can decree and declare during those "help my unbelief" moments.
Scriptures to declare for perseverance.
I know the Lord is always with me, I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. Psalms 16:8 NLT
He gives power to the faint and increases the strength of the week. Isaiah 40:29
For I am the Lord your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear, I will help you. Isaiah 41:13
Do not be afraid, Daniel, He sad, for from the first day that you purpose to understand the humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. Daniel 10:12
Then my enemies will retreat on the day I carry for help. By this will know that God is on my side. Psalms 56:9
